According to TMZ, The Weeknd is coming through in a major way for families devastated by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica — cutting a $350,000 donation to help deliver life-saving food supplies across the island.

The superstar singer, through his XO Humanitarian Fund, is partnering with the World Food Programme to support emergency relief after Melissa tore across Jamaica last month as a Category 5 monster storm. With winds hitting 185 MPH, officials declared the entire country a disaster zone, leaving massive destruction and widespread food insecurity.

The Weeknd’s donation will help the WFP distribute food kits to up to 200,000 people. Each kit includes essentials like rice, lentils, canned fish and meat, plus cooking oil — staples desperately needed as communities work to recover.

He’s not the only artist stepping up. As previously reported, Sean Paul and Maxi Priest have also contributed to relief efforts, joining a growing wave of support from the global music community.

The Weeknd has a long track record of humanitarian giving, and his latest donation underscores a message fans already know well: when disaster strikes, he shows up.
