የአቶ ሰማነህ የሕይወት ታሪክ መጽሐፍ ተራ የግለሰብ ታሪክ አይደለም። የአንድ ሰው የሕይወት ጉዞ ሳይኾን የትውልድ ማስታወሻ ነው። የአገር መዝገብ ነው። ከገጠር የኢትዮጵያ ክፍሎች ተነስተው እስከ ዓለም አቀፍ መድረክ የደረሱት የሚጋሩት ህያው የትውልድ ማስረጃ ነው።&nbsp;መጽሐፉ አንድ ግለሰብ እንዴት በችግር ውስጥ ተፈትኖ እንደሚያድግ ያሳያል። ከወላጆቹ የተጀመረው ታሪክ፣ ወደ ልጅነት ተረኮች ያቀናል። የትምህርትና የተማሪ ቤት ትግል፣ የፖለቲካ ግፍ፣ የእስር ቤት ጥላ፣ የውጭ ሀገር ተሞክሮ፣ የዲፕሎማሲ ዓለም፣ የጦርነት ቀጠናዎች፣ የሰብዓዊ ድጋፍ ሥራ፣ የሃይማኖትና የማኅበረሰብ አገልግሎት እና መሰል ታሪኮችን በአንድ ሕይወት ውስጥ ያስቃኛል።&nbsp;“ሕይወት ረጅም መንገድ ናት፤ ሰው ግን በሚያልፍባት መንገድ ይታወቃል” የሚባለውን አባባል በድርሳነ ሰማነህ መጽሐፍ ውስጥ ተመስክሯል። የመጽሐፉ ትልቁ ጥንካሬ የታሪኩ ስፋት ነው። ታሪኩ ከግለሰብ ሕይወት አልፎ የኢትዮጵያን የፖለቲካና የማኅበራዊ ለውጦች ይዳስሳል። የደርግ ዘመንን እስከነ-ቡጉሩ ተጽፏል። የአብዮት ዘመን ፍርሃትን በድርሳኑ ተከትቧል። የቻይናን የኮሚኒስት ሥርዓት ከውጪ ሳይኾን ከውስጥ ያሳያል። የአፍጋኒስታንን ጦርነት በተመድ ሠራተኛ ዓይን ይተርካል። ካናዳንም እንደ መጨረሻ የስደት ማረፊያ ብቻ ሳይሆን እንደ ዐዲስ የማንነት መስክ ያቀርባታል።&nbsp;ይህ ታሪክ በአንድ ሰው ላይ ብቻ የቆመ አይደለም። የኢትዮጵያውያን የትውልድ ትርክት ነው። “ሰው ዘመኑን አይመርጥም፤ ዘመኑ ግን ሰውን ይፈትነዋል” የሚለውን ሐሳብ በግልጽ ያሳያል።&nbsp;ከሥነ-ጽሑፋዊ አንጻር የመጽሐፉ አወቃቀር የሚስብ ነው። ክፍሎቹ በጊዜ ቅደም ተከተል ተደርድረዋል። ይህ አንባቢው የገጸ ባሕርዩን እድገት እንዲከታተል ያደርገዋል። ከ“ረዳት አልባው ወሊድ” እስከ “በካናዳ ፓርላማ” የሚደርሰው ጉዞ የማንነት ሽግግርን በጥልቅ ያሳያል። በመጀመሪያ የነበረው የገጠር ልጅ በመጨረሻ ዓለም አቀፍ ተቋማትን የሚያነጋግር ሰው ይኾናል።&nbsp;በዚህ ውስጥ የ“ሽግግር” ሐሳብ ትልቅ ቦታ አለው። ከገጠር ወደ ከተማ። ከኢትዮጵያ ወደ ዴንማርክ። ከዴንማርክ ወደ ቻይና። ከቻይና ወደ አፍጋኒስታን። ከጦርነት ወደ ሰላም። ከፍርሃት ወደ ተስፋ። ይህ ሁሉ ታሪኩን የከፍታና የዝቅታ፣ እንዲሁም የእውቀት ጉዞ ያሳያል።&nbsp;በተለይ የቻይና ምዕራፎች በጣም አስደሳች ናቸው። ኢትዮጵያዊ ተማሪ በማዖ ዘመን ቻይና ያየውን ሲተርክ አጃኢብ ያሰኛል። ይህ የኢትዮጵያ ተማሪዎች በሩቅ ምሥራቅ የነበራቸው የተማሪ ቤት ሕይወትን በጉልህ የሚያሳይ ታሪካዊ&nbsp;ሰነድ ነው። በተለይ “ከቻይና እና ማዖ ሴቱንግ ጋር ትውውቅ” እና “የቻይናን ታላቅነት የመረዳት ጅማሮ” የሚሉት ምዕራፎች የፖለቲካ እውቀትን ከግል ተሞክሮ ጋር ያጣመሩ ናቸው። የቻይና ክፍሎች ታሪካዊ ክብደት አላቸው። አንድ ኢትዮጵያዊ ተማሪ በማዖ ዘመን ቻይናን ከውስጥ ሲመለከት የሚያቀርበው ዕይታ በዐማርኛ ሥነ-ጽሑፍ ውስጥ ብርቅ ነው። በተለይ “የቻይናን ታላቅነት የመረዳት ጅማሮ” የሚለው ርዕስ፣ የባለታሪኩን የዓለም ዕይታን የመዘገብ አቅም እንድናደንቅ ይጋብዛል።&nbsp;አቶ ሰማነህ የተመድ ሠራተኛ ኾኖ በአፍጋኒስታን የነበረው ቆይታ በመጽሐፉ ውስጥ በስፋት ተካቷል። እነዚህ የአፍጋኒስታን ክፍሎች እጅግ ልብ አንጠልጣይ ናቸው። ከታሊባን ጋር በነበራቸው አንዳንድ ስብሰባዎች መካከል የሚከሰቱ ነገሮች ልብን ሰቅዘውና ቆንጥጠው የመያዝ አቅም አላቸው። የአፍጋኒስታን ምዕራፎች መጽሐፉን ከተራ የስኬት ታሪክ ያሻግሩታል። በታሊባን መካከል መኖር፣ ሞትን በቅርብ ማየት፣ በእምነት ላይ ፈተና መጋፈጥን ምን እንደሚመስል በሚገባ ያንጸባርቃል። እነዚህ ሁሉ የሰው ልጅ ውስጣዊ ጥንካሬን ይፈትናሉ። በዚህ ቦታ መጽሐፉ ጀግንነትን በተመለከተ ዐዲስ አተያይ ይሰጠናል። ባለታሪኩ ጀግና ነው፤ ግን ከፍርሃት ነጻ አይደለም። የሚገርመው ይህ ነው። ጀግንነቱ በፍርሃቱ ውስጥ ነው።አቶ ሰማነህ በሙጅሃዲን የታገተበት ክፍልም አስደንጋጭና ልብ የሚያንጠለጥል ክፍል ነው። እንደ በሰርግ ላይ ጫማ መሰወር የሚመስሉ ትንንሽ ትዕይንቶች እንኳን ታሪኩን ሕያው ያደርጉታል። ታሪኩ በዓለም ፖለቲካ መካከል የቆመ ሰው ውስጣዊ ስሜትን ያሳያል።&nbsp;መጽሐፉን በክፍል በክፍል ማየት ለሚፈልግ እጅግ ብዙ ነገሮችን ማለት ይችላል። ለዚህ ጽሑፍ እንዲኾን ግን መጽሐፉን በሦስት ዋና ዋና መስመሮች እንመልከተው።&nbsp;አንደኛየእድገት ታሪክን በሚገባ ቀርቧል። አንድ ልጅ በልምድ እየተፈተነ ወደ ሙሉ ማንነት የሚያድግበትን ጉዞ መጽሐፉ በሚገባ ያሳያል።&nbsp;ሁለተኛእንደ ድኅረ-ቅኝ ግዛታዊ የሥነ ጽሑፍ ሥራ መነበብ ይችላል። የዴንማርክ ተረክ - Thanks for the Liver is more than a documentary; it’s a testament to friendship, courage, and selfless love that illuminated the night at the Elizabeth Bader Theatre.The film, directed by University of Toronto alum Fraser Allan Best, premiered earlier this month at Toronto’s Hot Docs Cinema. It chronicles Best’s extraordinary journey from life-threatening illness to recovery, made possible through a life-saving liver donation from his friend and fellow U of T graduate, Robbie Grant.Born with glycogen storage disease type 1b, a rare genetic condition that affects fewer than 100 people in Canada, Best’s liver could no longer sustain him. By 2017, his health was deteriorating rapidly, and his dream career in journalism seemed to be slipping away. Then came an act of true friendship that would change — and save — his life.Grant, who studied political science and philosophy alongside Best at U of T, didn’t hesitate when he learned what his friend was facing. “Fraser had a significant risk of death if he didn’t get the organ,” Grant recalls. “For me, the risk was small. It was clearly the right thing to do.”In August 2020, surgeons removed part of Grant’s liver and transplanted it into Best. It emphasized that violence against civilians and places of worship violates fundamental principles of human dignity, religious freedom, and peaceful coexistence.The Association called for transparent and impartial investigations into the reported incidents and urged authorities to ensure accountability and protect civilians and religious institutions.It also appealed to Ethiopians at home and abroad to reject hatred and violence and to uphold unity, compassion, and mutual respect.
